Detox Time!

I am sure we are all familiar with how cleanses and nutrient packed diets can help us feel stronger, healthier and more energized. Detoxification removes toxins and helps you reach your weight loss goals in a relatively short period of time. So naturally it’s a good idea to detox your body on a regular basis. Since summer is around the corner recently I started incorporating a simple addition to my daily routine and I have to say it leaves me feeling a little lighter during the day. It’s a simple combination of 2 teaspoons of honey and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon boiled in one cup of water. Drink it every morning, on an empty stomach, half an hour before breakfast, and again at night before sleeping. Drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body, and lets you absorb more of all the daily nutrients.  For those that are not fans of cinnamon or honey here are some easy homemade detox drinks for weight loss are a natural way to melt the fat fast. Please note that detoxification should not be extended over a long period of time. Standard time is 3-7 days.

Tea: Tea is a natural detox drink that expels toxins from your system. Dandelion tea, green tea, peppermint tea, and ginger tea are effective in supporting weight loss.

Cranberry Juice: Cranberry juice enhances the body’s metabolism, which is essential to converting fats into energy instead of excess weight.

Cabbage Juice: Cabbage is very effective for detoxifying your liver, which is responsible for the detoxification of your body.

Cucumber and Lemon: Blend 1 cucumber sliced into tiny pieces and the juice half a lemon. Drink at least 2 times per day. This detox drink boosts your metabolism, and loads you with energy.

Happy Detoxing!

A handcrafted slice of heaven – Let’s Accessorize!

This goes for you gentlemen as well. I wanted to share my love for accessories and this AMAZING company that has the magic touch, knots & co. Who doesn’t love a little bling here and a little bling there and bling bling everywhere! Personally I don’t like to leave my home without a little something hanging of my neck, making a statement on my fingers, spinning around my wrist or dangling from my ears. My biggest problem is to pack light on the accessories when I travel. I bring too much of everything, every single time.  The space could be utilized a little better. But hey, I may need this necklace or this bracelet, oh and these earrings, and so on. Silly problems, right? We all have them. Now I am not the one to overdo it and look like a Christmas tree, I just like a beautiful little statement piece. Something that, when I glance at it says “hey, look at me, I look so good with your cream sweater and bright blue scarf”. I think I have found the perfect place where I can satisfy yours and my need for an everyday statement piece or a special occasion one. We are all definitely talented in some way, some more, and like me some less. I was first introduced to knots & co. last year, and let me tell you I CANNOT GET ENOUGH. Founded in 2012 by an amazing and creative individual, Jenny Le has turned her passion into success. Knots & co. specializes in handcrafted jewelry that will put a smile on every accessories lover.  The designs, the details, the style, I want them all. And I love spoiling my friends and family with these gorgeous pieces.  There are so many amazing pieces and there is a design for everyone. On top of that you can customize your order to make it one a kind. How awesome is that! Yes, of course I ordered a handcrafted bracelet in every colour, and had one custom made too! What? I know a good thing when I see it. Thanks knots & co., you made this accessories lover very happy.  Keep ‘em coming!
